Kings Manor Hotel is set in a former convent and, with its modern glass fronted foyer, is located on the outskirts of Edinburgh. The hotel is less than a mile from Portobello beach and its golden sand. Rooms are decorated in warm shades of pink, blue and red; some look towards the sea, some towards the Lammermuir hills. The old fashioned Rosemount Bar has an intimate atmosphere, while the Zest Bar has a livelier atmosphere, attracting locals as well as hotel guests to its glass fronted bar. Edinburgh's attractions are within easy reach, by public transport or by car. The number 44 bus takes guests to and from the city center for about ?1.
